Running dynamically adaptive virtual network that periodically reassign bandwidth between virtual networks is an effective way of providing service. Conventionally, this method only provides the exclusive sevice that allocates the full bandwidth (full availability) to the request. This kind of service leads to the increased blocking probability and higher cost in the substrate network while leaving some resource under-utilized. With these observations, this paper analyzes careful overbooking that uses more flexible levels of availability to provide service level agreements to users. Based on this framework, when a substrate network faces congestions, it can decrease the bandwidth of virtual network at reassigning time while meeting the requirement of users. In the optimization view, the constraint of link-path equation is here modified to have more flexible and effective way in providing service. This paper gives an insight reason of how much availability needed to be changed to get the optimal point in the trade-off between revenue in substrate network and performance in virtual network.
