In the study, quality deterioration of fresh products in terms of logistics and distribution cost are discussed. Only the cost minimization schemes do not represent the total distribution cost. As it is difficult to define quality deterioration, a simple approach of quality loss which is proportional to the saleable quantity is proposed in this study. Frozen shrimp industry of Thailand has been selected to develop the proposed model in which heterogeneous vehicle fleet with varying environmental conditions and handling practice are used.
