In this article, I will examine Business Ethics education from the standpoint of "people in organizations". According to the principle of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, "people in organizations" have various desires, and their disposition is shifting from heteronomy to autonomy. In addition, Business Ethics education is classified into "rule observance learning" and "ethical thought learning". Current Japanese companies tend to prefer "rule observance learning" to the other. However, this is a problem when considering motivation and growth of "people in organizations". The change Business Ethics demanding to the company is "reconsidering the thought and the value gained from the excessive Consequentialism (particularly Ethical Egoism)". We should expect this from the leadership of "people in organizations", and Ethical theory and thought method will be used as a foundation.
