In this paper 3 species of the subfamily Pyraustinae, i.e., Marasmia euryterminalis Hampson, Mecyna gilvata (Fabricius) and Maruca amboinalis (Felder et Rogenhofer), are reported to occur in Japan for the first time. Redescriptions of the adult and male genitalia of these species or those of the adult alone are presented. In addition, the occurrence of Nausinoe perspectata (Fabricius) and Cirrhochrista kosemponialis Strand are confirmed again from Japan. I wish to thank to Mr. K. Ueda and Mr. Y. Yoneda, Entomological Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, and Mr. K. Kanmia, Faculty of Medicine, Kurume University, for offering valuable specimens. I also express my grateful thanks to Ass. Prof. T. Saigusa, Biological Laboratory, College of General Education, Kyushu University, for reading of the first draft of this paper. I am much indebted to Prof. Y. Hirashima and Ass. Prof. K. Yano, Entomological Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, for their continuous kind guidances.
