The active momentum exchange impact damper (AMEID) has already proposed for shock vibration control which uses an actuator to realize an active contact spring. In this paper, the validity of AMEID in the digital control environment for actual implementations is investigated. It is assumed that the shock force is given by a half sine function and the actuator is a voice coil motor. The simulation results show that the digital AMEID is effective in suppressing the maximum acceleration of the main mass and the transmitted force to the base due to the shock excitation.
