Radio knife has a problem that coagulated blood adheres on the tip of the knife during surgery. The problem causes the knife to lose it's coagulating and cutting performance. In order to overcome the problem, we evaluated the changes of current and voltage to the knife using electric surgery generator. In order to avoid the coagulating of blood, we made the tips of the knife micropatterned by electric discharging and compared their electric properties. As a result, current decreased and voltage increased sharply with coagulating of blood. It also revealed that micropatterned tips delayed the occurrence of increasing the electric resistance. To prevent the increase of the resistance, we added NaCl to the blood. As a result, the resistance of coagulated blood decreased to 1/10^7-1/10^8.
