Recently I had an oppoturnity to examine seventy specimens of the Curculionid-beetles collected by Dr. T. SHIROZU, Dr. M. OGATA and Mr. M. WAKABAYASHI from Formosa in 1961. These specimens are classified into thirty eight species of the families Attelabidae, Curculionidae and Rhynchophoridae, of which five are new to science and six have been unrecorded from the fauna of Formosa. Unless otherwise stated, type-specimens are preserved in the collection of the Entomological Laboratory of Kyushu University in Fukuoka. I acknowledge my indebtness to Prof. TAKASHI SHIROZU, of Kyushu University, for his kindness on material. I have also to express my thanks to Dr. SUKEHISA AINO, of the Government Forest Experiment Station, and Prof. KEIZO YASUMATSU, of Kyushu University, for their encouragement in the course of the present study.
