• Communication is considered a basic skill and when people communicate effectively, they make and keep friends; they are valued at work and respected and trusted by their children. In the world of work the value of personal skills such as communication skills are increasingly being acknowledged and required. The question is where and how to learn those valuable skills. Some universities have started to take some measures. However the development and improvement of those skills can only be well achieved in a long-term process. That development has to be started from schools where students learn most of their basic skills and abilities and in order to do that, the improvement of teachers' communication skills is the first step.
