Purpose In the first reoport, guiding students in the practice of living in the home management, from the actions and the practice of living of the students, we analyzed the students'views of living, their usual living state and all conditions that had to do with their views and state. And we could understand a little the mechanism on their actions. In the second report, from menues and their work of cooking, we examine menues in these six years and want to grasp consciousness about meals. Method We examine menues of the practice of living from 1980 to 1985 in Matsuyama Shinonome Junior College and investigate by questionnaires for students in the department of domestic science and food science in this junior college. (1) Examine menues by a group of food. (2) The first and second year students-boarders and students of attending this junior college from their houses. (3) How to have meals, to prepare meals and so on. (4) On health and fatigue. (5) On students' conversation with their families. (6) Students'views for their mothers. (7) Literature cited. Result According to examination of menues, we think the following things. The students make menues by their tastes and they don't have much are milk and fruits. But they have many potatoes and eggs a day. Almost all the students have breakfast, but there are students that don't have breakfast. The reasons are that the students get tired of cooking and they don't want to have breakfast. About half of the students have meals at night. Though students are healthy generally, they feel tired or a little tired with studying in this junior college.Students that feel so have only two meals a day. On the time of meals, breakfast-7:30 a.m., lunch-12:30 p.m., supper-7:00 p.m.. Most of the students have breakfast and lunch alone, students of 50 per cent have supper with their families. Therefore they hold little conversation with their families. Students show consideration for their parents and they hope their mothers take an interest in something and love a happy life. But on the one hand students depend on their parents in their daily life. We hope students put their knowledge and skill to practical use in their daily life and try to keep their health. And we want them to reconsider their life in their meals and so on.
