"Butterflies of Thailand (Ek-Amnuay, 2006)" contains all the butterflies known in Thailand. Many of them are new records contributed by major collections in Thailand and some experts especially in Japan. Descriptions and clear photos of both upperside and underside of many butterflies are included together in one volume with easily obtainable price for any person. We are sure that it will meet the needs of local and worldwide readers a like. Typos and errors can be found in any publications, especially in a big and difficult volume like this book. Also, there are too many species in Thailand for single author to deal with in detail. It is necessary for us to update the knowledge of currently used names, their taxonomic status, biology, records, and distribution. In the present manuscript, the main author cooperates with some experts in their fields. Please remind that this work is basically for improving the second edition of the book, and we certainly hope that it will give a sufficient benefit for the butterfly studies in the world.
