• The ballast water management is focused on to minimize the introduction of unwanted organisms from the discharge of ballast water in their local jurisdictions in these days. The ballast exchange at the deep ocean is the most practical approach to minimizing the introduction of aquatic species from ballast. This study provides key findings of the case study applying the ballast exchange for 14 ABS class vessels, and due to the results, we discuss the problems what we should care, and focus on in view of the safety concerns.
