Based upon critical review of Wagner's theory, an analytical solution of the two dimensional impact pressure has been derived by using matched asymptotic expansion technique. The solution is composed of three part: the linear part given from expanding flat plate solution, the nonlinear part valid in the splash region near the crossing point between the waterline and the body and the common part between both parts. The solution is compared to Wagner's results and is shown to give almost the same peak pressure but with different behaviors.
