A fresh Euthalia-type pupal shell (fig. 1) was found on a parasitic plant belonging to the Loranthaceae at Taman, N. Taiwan. Judging from the morphological features of the pupal shell and the feeding habit of Euthalia lubentina in Hong Kong, the shell undoubtedly belonged to E. irrubescens, the sole representative of the lubentina group in Taiwan. The plant was identified as Scurrula liquidambaricolus (Loranthaceae) (fig. 2) by Prof. J.C. Liao, Dept. of Forestry, National Taiwan University.
