There are so many different types of characters with such varying designs in Japan today. Most of these characters are taken from animals but are often inspired by human beings and plants. More than that, there are even imaginary characters. Not only do we see them around children as toys but also as decoration in homes. Why are these characters so attractive to people? Characters allow people to have hopes and dreams for their lives, emotional balance, and a deep feeling of happiness. In this paper, the writer specifically picked the stuffed bear to analyze why it (a little bear) is so loved by people. At the same time, the writer looks at fairy tales and picture books in which bears are often present. The writer also studies what those fairy tale writers think of bears and why they write about them.
