46 cases which performed extracorporeal circulation over 120 min. were divided in 3 groups, according to the grade of hypothermia. In each Cases, pH, P_<CO_2>, P<O_2>, B. E., A-V O_2 difference, GOT, GPT, LDH and plasma Hb level were determined. No remarkable difference between 3 groups were noted in B.E., A-V 0_2-difference, GOT, GPT, LDH, and P<O_2>. Plasma Hb level was lowest in deep hypothermal group, this reduction of plasma Hb level was considered to be owed lower perfusion rate and flow rate of oxygen. A tendency of respiratoric acidosis was seen in deep hypothermal group at 2hrs. after perfusion, but this tendency was not seen at 6 hrs. after perfusion.
