Cardiac glycoside is one of the most useful drugs in the treatment of heart failure. In its clinical use, however, the most trouble some thing is digitalis intoxication which is frequently fatal for the patient. Among several studies which have been directed tawards reversing digitalis toxicity, an interesting approach was recently demonstrated by Dr. Butler and Dr. Smith. They showed that the specific antibody for digitalis had the reversing ability against an established cardiac digitalis toxicity. In the present study, observations were made on the effect of specific antibodies on C digoxin-induced arrhythmias in dogs. Antidigoxin antibodies were 'obtained by immunization of rabbits with BSA-conjugated digoxin.
