The interests of satellite communication systems using elliptical orbit is growing due to the congestion of satellite communication systems using geostationary orbit. The Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union has been studied on the frequency sharing between satellite communication systems using elliptical orbit and terrestrial communication systems in order to introduce and use satellite communication systems using elliptical orbit efficiently. Considering that orbital characteristics seems to be an important factor in the frequency sharing between satellite communication systems using elliptical orbit and terrestrial communication systems, this paper studies on the effect of orbital characteristics upon the interference between these systems.
