"broadcast-TCP" is designed to enhance TCP performance over ICBN. To fully utilize the broadcasting nature of ICBN, while combating with wireless packet loss and uplink/downlink asymmetry problem, schemes including broadcasting TCP segments to all mobile hosts (MHs), deploying local recovery at Integrated Network Manager (INM) and hybrid ACK/NAK at MHs are employed. Broadcast-TCP is implemented on NS-2 simulation platform. Simulation result shows that with broadcast-TCP, throughput performance in ICBN is greatly improved.
