Play is one of the excellent communication tools for eliciting child's responsiveness and accessing to his/her resources. In this paper, the case employing play was presented and Ericksonian play therapy was proposed. The identified patient was a 7-year-old girl who was in the second grade in an elementary school. She had been unable to attend school because of social phobia and she had showen hallucination later. During the play session, her ability to decrease and adjust her sensory experience was evoked and amplified. After 5 sessions, she recovered and enjoyed her daily life. The followings are suggested from this case. (1)Play is one of interactions. The reality of play is also constructed through interactions. (2)Play could be constructed as metaphors for changes or solutions. And the metaphors could be brought naturally in play.
