守屋謙二先生古稀記念論文集A pair of four-fold screen paintings called Hie-sannosairei-zu shows the scenes of the festival of Hie-taisha Shrine held in April every year. The former shows Sakaki-no-shinji meaning the ceremony of dedication of "a sacred tree" to the shrine. The latter shows Shinyotogyo meaning the ceremony of Mikoshi's going across the Lake of Biwa. Since these two paintings give much information on the genre scene and the festival in the Momoyama period, it seems to me that they are very precious paintings in the history of Japanese art.
