The shape of the bone will adapted to the surroundiog mechanical conditions. This concept described by Wolff in 1892 as "Wolff's law" has been widely accepted by many orthopedic surgeons. Because it is too abstract, it hasn't been applied to the clinical cases. In this paper, authors tried to establish a mathematical model of growing bones which were designed to the surrounding mechanical conditions. Few samples, such as femoral head, neck of the femur, trochantor major, normal acetabulum, dysplastic acetabulum, and also a shelf operation or Chiari's operation performed were applied to this mathematical model and were solved by using MINC 11 computer. The process to develop the mathematical model was discussed and also the samples were discussed by comparing with the clinical informations obtained from X-ray follow-up studies.
