The purpose of this study was to examine the relation between groups based on vocation- selecting behaviors and factors of work values among college students. The data was collected from 735 college students in Japan. The main findings were as follows:(1) Vocation- selecting behaviors in Japanese college students were grouped into five types-facing up to reality, pursuing both personal and social values, moratorium, part-time job worker, and middle. (2) The facing up to reality type regarded values of self and social evaluation of work values as unimportant, while they regarded comfortable work environment as important ; on the other hand, the moratorium type regarded values of self and social evaluation of work values as important. (3) The part-time job worker type regarded social evaluation of work values as unimportant. Full-time employments were recognized social evaluations in Japan, which confirms the characteristics of part-time job workers. The ratio of Japanese college students selecting part-time jobs increased, because Japanese college students were not recognized to be full-time employments.
