Respecting 44 Patients with the myocardosis literally in accordance with Wuhrmann's definition and 196 patients with the primary cardio-vascular diseases, vector analysis, especially the analysis of Wuhrmann-Niggli's " metabolic electrocardiogram ", measurement of plasma protein fractions and serum electrolytes were almost simultaneously studied and the following results were obtained. 1. The analysis of Wuhrmann-Niggli's metabolic electrocardiogram enables to elucidate the extent of the influence of dysproteinaemia and dyselectrolytaemia upon the myocard, but in this connection there exists some notice to be paid. i. When dysproteinaemia and dyselectrolytaemia, especilly hyperkaliaemia simultaneously co-exist, the characteristic changes in electrocardiogram due to the former are not rarely concealed with those due to the latter. For example, the diagnostic values of the ratio TH : B in the "metabolic electrocardiogram" emphasized by wuhrmann and Niggli must be cautiously judged. ii. The rate of TH to B can be also more or less influenced by the existence of hypertension, pericarditis, myocarditis, bundle branch block and valvular disorders. 2. G_J in Wuhrmann's myocardosis decreases in its magnitude without any change in its normal direction. This is safe to regard as one of pricipal signs of the existence of diffuse myocardial metabolic disturbance, having no connection with the existence of the locallimited disturbance of the myocard. 3. When there appears the marked fusion of T and U waves, even by means of the analysis of the metabolic electrocardiogram, it is difficult precisely to distinguish the component of T from U wave. So that, especially the ratio of TH to B in the hypokaliaemia which the TU-fusion is apt to bring forth, must be cautiously decided.
