For study of clinical significance and side effect of chemotherapeutic drugs against malignant disease, examination of pathologic cells in gastric juice, pleural or peritoneal effusion and punctate of lymphnodes of various malign diseases are performed. Twelve cases are treated by Nitromin, 16 cases by Tespamin, and 11 cases by Sarcomycin. Conclusion is as follows ; It is 4 in 27 cases that has some effect of drug against cells in gastric juice, and 9 in 22 cases against cells in pleural or peritoneal effusion. Malign cells show expansion of nucleus, vacuolar degeneration, abnormal mitose, and also demonstrate destructing process of the cells. Cases directly injected the drug into the pleural or peritoneal cavity give highly degeneration of floating cells in the effusion. Two cases of Hodgikin's disease are marked recovery by treatment of the drug. Cells taken through punction of lymphnodes show increasing fibrogenic cells, and decreasing reticular cells and Sternberg's giant cells. There is marked effect 4 by treated Nitromin, 5 by tespamin and 2 by Sarcomycin in 39 cases of malign diseases. Marked side effect is a leucopenie.
