H. were investigated of I uptake rate and serum protein bod iodine in the normal and the suffered people from thyroid diseases. The results are summarized as follows. (1) From the results of T. S. H. test in the normal, simple goiter, goiter II, hypothroidism, and subacute thyroiditis, these facts were derived that goiter II is to be included inthe cate ory of simple goiter in the mode of response to T. S. H., hypothyroidism be divided into two types, primary and pituitary, and subacute thyroiditis shows a relatively early recovery of the thyroid follicular cell function. (2) From the results of T. S. H. test in Graeves disease and toxic goiter, especially following the course of therapies, it was found that the both diseases are to be differentiated one another. And following the improvement of the diseases, they become respond similarly each other in T. S. H. test, further do they show a response as simple goiter when they are cured. So, it is considered that T. S. H. test is applicable to determination of the recovery from hyperthyroidism.
