難治性瘻孔の治療に関する細菌学的並びに臨床的研究

In the opinion of the author, bacterological and biological factors are prominent among the factors contributing toward making chron;c fistulas incurable. As preoperative measures, therefore, the author first cleansed the passage by means of a combination of enzyme treatment and chemotherapy, taking into consideration the biological nature as well as the bacteriological condition of fistulas. Then surgical operations were performed, removing lesion, closing defect and closing trauma primarily. This treatment achieved excellent results in a short space of time, proving to be effective in preventing the formation of another fistula.
