In search of experimental pulmonary tuberculosis of rabbits infected by human type of tubercle bacilli intratracheally, their progresses have been followed roentgeno- and histopathologically. The evaluation of the effect of INAH on these animals was also made. The roentgenological expression of the Koch phenomenon was recognized comparing the primary infected group with the reinfected. Using the less amount of bacilli the lesion of primary infection progressed the more sluggish, however, the early reaction of reinfection is never influenced by the amount of the bacilli. The administration of INAH started just after primary infection resulting roentgenoas well as pathologically as the evaluation of which we reported before about PAS. Even after the shadow demonstrated on the chest film, INAH has been proved more effective to clear it than PAS or TBI. An interesting finding in our experiment is that in the reinfected group the early reaction, such as the early shadow, may be recognized even during the administration of INAH. This suggests that tuberculous shoves may happen with either lowly virulent bacilli or the small amount of them even during the practice of that treatment. Concerning the INAH treatment of reinfected animals the most excellent results were obtained by the immediate administration after the exposure, and it also shortened the period of improvement even after the shadow demonstrated on the film. In the treated tuberculous foci numerous new-formed capillaries can be seen, and this is possibly due to inactivation of the bacilli by INAH.
