• This is the report about that I synthesized some 1,2-5,6- Diacetonemannitol by isopropylidenizing D-Mannitol and oxidized with sodiumperiodate. 1) Some 1,2-5,6-Diacetonemannitol was synthesized by improving Vaegha-method. 2)The oxidation of 1,2-5,6-Diacetonemannitol with sodiumperiodate produces some isopropylidene-D-Gryceraldehyde. 3) Some D-Gryceraldehyde was obtained by hydrolyzing isopropyylidene-D-Gryceraldehyde. 4) D-Gryceraldehyde was confirmed to have 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydraozone,Dimedone, and Burcine as its derivatives according to their respective melting points.
