It is obvious that cognitive styles-field dependence-independence-between teachers and students are significantly correlated with their teaching behavior and the learners' learning activity. Moreover, it is important to know that the combinatory effects of the cognitive styles of participants in the context of the classroom plays a crucial role in constructing the integral teaching-learning process and in interpersonal and social attraction. Teacher-student compatibility has an greater influence upon improvement of classroom atmosphere, students' academic achievement, and their emotional state through openhearted interpersonal relationships. But further research should be undertaken into the effects of age, IQ, and psychological and physiological domain on cognitive styles. These kinds of researches will be a great help to promote educational applications of cognitive styles.
