Ozaki Koyo's "Aobudo" is a novel which is based on events concerning one of the author's disciples. Koyo wrote the first half, but didn't finish writing the second half. I analyze his techniques of description in this novel by deciphering in detail funny descriptions and other characteristic expressions or changes of tense between the first newspaper edition and the first book edition. Koyo wrote this novel by dramatizing what really happened. Finally I analyze how the novel "Tajotakon" connects with "Aobudo" in order to explain why the author didn't continue writing the latter half of "Aobudo".
