The breakdown of the "Jiminto System" led by Jun'ichiro Koizumi and the recent centralized tendency in Japanese politics may induce the impacts to the political opportunity structure in Japanese civil society. The aim of this article is to investigate the possible impacts at Japanese political participation. For the purpose, we prepare three basic research questions. The one is that whether the increase of elite-challenging participation predicted by post-modernization hypothesis of Ronald Inglehart comes true or not. The second one is whether the change at interest intermediation structure reflects participation structure or not. The third one is whether socio-economic neutrality in Japanese political participation are alive or not. In order to answer these research questions, we analyze some national survey datasets (JABISS and the series of JES). Our conclusions are like below. (1) Participation in demonstration and protest are declined, on the other hand, donations and local activities are activated. (2) From the result of factor analysis among participation variables, we observe that the correlation structures are varied in each survey period. (3) We observe the decrease of gender gap and income gap.
