What can we do in the local community to make people feel safe and happy to raise children in this time when Japan is becoming an aging society with a low number of children? The residents in the southern part of Miyagi, Japan who are concerned with the welfare of the region, conducted a survey to research the communities need for childcare support in order to develop policies for providing such support. With the results of the survey, the residents developed "ten suggestions for childcare support" In this study, the author analyzes the result of the "childcare support" survey, and examines the current childcare support system and the effect of "the ten suggestions for childcare support."
