国際バレーボール・ルールの変遷に関する一考察 : 1947年〜1986年まで

International Volleyball Federation was founded in 1947. Ever since, through many chances of the Official International Competitions Volleyball has been developed as one of the international sports. The Official International Volleyball Rules were established in 1947 and have been revised many time so far. Here I wrote what I have studied about the changes in the international rules from 1947 till 1986. The aim is to know about details and process of the changes as a fundamental material for studying volleyball. The resulting significant features of the changes are following: 1) Smooth progress of games 2) Coordinating the balance between offence and defence 3) Many revisions on such play neer the net as blocking and so forth 4) Observance of manners and etiquette by players and coaches 5) Consistency in judgment by referees and ball-handling For studying volleyball farther, I think it necessary to examine changes in the Japanese 9-man system volleyball rules and USVBA American volleyball rules.
