Agricultural community in Japan was dotted with Mura, the cooporative organization of production and living in a farmer life. Mura had Buraku-kai the organization of self-government to support a farmer life. Mura became differentiated into functional groups and reduced the functions of self government rapidly after World War II. The phase was concidered the disorganization of Mura. But, Mura is going to reconstruct the organization of self-government in a process of it's disorganization. Then, the purpose of this thesis is, 1) to present the facts that the organization of self-government is going to be reconstructed, 2) to analize the process and causes of it's reconstruction, 3) to analize the contents of self-government today, 4) to have a view of the social structure and the economic, political, social meaning of Mura today.
