Forest belts network model for middle-size watersheds with 200,000 to 300,000 ha in area in Japan is proposed in this paper aiming at environmental conservation for watersheds. This network model is composed of four framework forest belts and seven interconnection forest belts among the preceding four framework ones. The former is forests,forest belts along a trunk river, forest belts along a trunk road and tide water prevention forests. The latter is forest belts along branch rivers with relative large-size watersheds, the ones along sub-branch rivers with relative large-size watersheds, the ones along streams, the ones along branch roads, the ones along farm roads and all-round protection forest belts surrounding urban area and combined patch-shaped forests surrounding establishments such as shirine, temple, house, factory, school, etc..
