This research presents the development of a photovoltaic charger with 200V-400V high input voltage for 48V telecom power system. The developed photovoltaic charger consists of the boost pre-regulator and the LC resonant half-bridge converter to overcome the large variation of the input voltage and to reduce the switching loss. Also, the maximum power point tracking function is implemented with the DSP control. Moreover, an efficient PV charger with 1.9kW power rating and high input voltage is developed.
