This paper focuses on a presentation of a new approach of learning vocabulary for use by students of English as a foreign language at Salesian Polytechnic. From some previous works, we introduce how effective mind mapping would be a method of intentional vocabulary learning. The paper then has presented a mind map based method of learning vocabulary in the classroom through reading activities. This can be a departure from ineffective learning, and we explore whether we can present the actual possibility of applying this proposal in classes by giving a teaching plan based on mind mapping.
