On the study of asset management, tunnels are different from other road structures, and there are many problems on studies of asset management. The performance of tunnel is securing the room for safety vehicles passing. And the performance is not deteriorating with time. Then, it is very difficult to make deterioration curve and fix the duration of life. A study to overcome these difficult problems is performed. This report shows the introduction of tunnel asset management, existing condition of tunnel asset management and latest example on local government in Japan.
