Plane tiling theory used to design new core structures is employed to create two kinds of different truss core panels called Tetrahedral Truss Core Panel and Honeycomb Truss Core panel, corresponding to two different steps of the tiling process. Models are made by C.A.D and their acoustical properties such as sound power and radiation efficiency are simulated with different materials and at different frequencies to show that the cores configuration and geometry have an impact on those properties. The results show that TTCP has lower acoustic power than HTCP with a higher radiation for both panels at high frequency.
