We studied the enhancement of continuous-wave (CW) terahertz (THz) output power by laser diode (LD) pumping in non-collinear phase-matched difference frequency generation (DFG). Two methods to improve the generated THz wave output power have investigated. The THz wave power dependence for various lengths of GaP crystals is studied and it is observed that the maximum power was obtained with 20mm long GaP crystal at 1.5THz. We also studied the THz power dependence with beam spot size (1.2mm-300μm) of input lasers at 1.62THz using 10mm long GaP crystal.
