A simple system consisting of automatically processes for the sequential of injection, extraction and detection is studied on the quantitative determination for a trace amount of a target compound. The system equipped with a microchip and a photodiode is characterized by the competitive immunoassay, which leads to the complex formation of the target with fluorescent-labeled antibody, followed by the detection of fluorescent intensity. To clarify the detection performance of PCB as a trace substance, measurements of the known amount of PCB solutions prepared by ourselves was examined. It was found that the calibration curve varied inversely as the PCB concentrations.
