Starting from 2002, we have been developing the middle sized UAV and have turned it to practical use in various fields for the last five years such as 'Ground magnetic survey', 'volcanic smoke collection'. During the period, the aircrafts, UAV have been developed significantly and it has realized to extend the flight distance, improve the manageability and the safety. Nowadays, the observation distance has reached over 680milos for 8 hours and the altitude has reached about 20,000 feet. The handling is very easy now; it is fully automatically controlled from take off to landing. The flight hours of the UAV by full automatic control we have operated by now is about 46 hours and we have never experienced any trouble with the controllers and aircrafts. We will still target to develop more safety and reliable UAV.
