This paper is on the case study of a new rating method, in which the learners voluntarily select the evaluation topics for their oral presentations. The initial effect of this method on the learners was to choose the unchallenging topics in response to the expected supervision by the teacher. However, as the learners have been making progress in their studies, it became remarkable that they tend to add more topics, resulted in the improvement of their general assessment, and led to their higher satisfaction at class. As well as reporting the case in detail, this paper gives the analytic examination of the method in terms of the evaluator, the motivations for learning and the presence of peers.
