The purpose of this study was to clarify the following view-points. 1. To examine the characteristics of development and the stage of development of each ages concerning a nursery school children under three years of age. 2. To investigate the differences of development that seems to depend on sex-difference, difference of birth ranking, region and behavior. On I. children, from six months to three years-three months of age, were to be investigated, and analyzed the questionaire with five view-points and 255 items; 1) Exercise (72 items) 2) Self-support (47 items) 3) Emotion and social (45 items) 4) Intellectual capacity(50 items) 5) Representation of language(41 items). The results were as follows. 1) On each view-points, the revolution of the child development were observed. A tendency of the development were remarkable in age of one year to one year-three months, tow years, and tow years-nine months. It can be said that from the view-point of development exercise ability changed markdly in age of one year-three months, self-support grows in age of two years, emotional and social development expanses in nine months of age, intellectual capacity develop in age of one year-six months, and representation of language expanses in age of two years-three months. 2) As regard to the factors participate in child development, following results were to be found; (1) After one year of age, girls development were superior to boys, especially representation of language were significant. (2) A child who is quick in action and has stability in emotion, showed desirable development, especially on the items of emotion and social, intellectual capacity and representation of language were superior to the other child. (3) An effect of birth ranking to the development was not to be found. (4) It seemed that the difference of region was to be caused by difference of nursing condition.
