We introduced a certain practical experience program as a part of practice course called "Practice in Multiple Care Work Skills I " at our college. The aim is to make students understand users' expectation by acting and feeling like the elderly confined to beds and suffering from pressure sores. So far a number of studies on education for care workers have been made by teachers and researchers. Some of them have insisted theories, such as "effectiveness of practical experience acting as tentative users and bedridden elderly people." Students at our college could understand users' physical situations through some practical experience, but most students showed a tendency to be oblivious to users' expectation during the practical training at welfare facilities. Based on the facts, we carried out a learning program through practical experience by acting as users suffering from pressure sores for the purpose of making them understand pressure sores and users' expectation. The purpose of this paper is to present a new teaching method based on the above practice.
