• To overcome the weakness of "if-then" reasoning, a fault vector direction method is developed in Tsinghua University. A fault is defined as a vector in a n-dimensional space, and thus a database is obtained. In this way, the difficulty in "continuous fault" or defect detection and diagnosis is solved.
