In this paper we investigated relation between van Hiele levels and achievement in the solid geometry proofs. A secondary school and a high school students were tested for van Hiele level of thinking and ability to reason in two and three-dimensional geometry. Ability to reason in two-dimensional geometry correlated significantly 0.05 with van Hiele level, however in three-dimensional geometry not correlated (p=0.32) with van Hiele level.
