There have been a growing" number of universities in the world that offer post graduate studies in human rights. Among seventy-eight universities that offer MA and PhD in human rights, six locate in Asia-Pacific region. Curtin University of Technology in Australia is one that offers human rights program in the region. Its uniqueness resides in multi-disciplinary structure of courses that are not only academic but are also committed in promotion and protection of human rights. Students' diversity is also the strength: with majority of local part-time students, there are a significant number of international students with various human rights professional backgrounds. Graduate Certificate provides an alternative entry point for those without relevant undergraduate degrees, but with passion and commitment in human rights. Diversity enhances discourse and mutual learning across different cultures, religions, and professions.
