As for Civil Engineering in Japan, definition of the Japanese terms, "Sekkei" and "Dezain", is different from each other. In this context, structural analysis, construction method and technology of materials apparently belong to the "Engineering". Based on the above aspects, and styling of the formation of conception and the detail, the author defined "Civil Engineering Design" as comprehensive study with considerations of climate, culture, environment, and landscape of the place concerned. This paper describes the design technology regarding the earth works, which are creation of geographical features, soil pressure structures and reproduction of forest, from the viewpoint of "Civil Engineering Design".
