青森県男性の男女共同参画に関する意識の現状と今後の展望

国立情報学研究所の「学術雑誌公開支援事業」により電子化されました。Based on an attitude survey carried out of male residents of Aomori Prefecture in 2006, this study shows that achieving a gender-equal society is necessary for men as well as women. Major findings of the study includes; 1) More men as well as women are seeking to balance work and family life. 2) Although most men in Japan are expected to get married, to succeed to the family estate and care for their parents, so many men feel burdened by these expectations and responsibilities. 3) There are a lot of men who had breakdowns or even committed suicide after struggling to fulfill their responsibilities as men.
